Sounds like the best one yet for any non-ranger and usually non-warrior.

Hey, look, a preorder item that might actually be useful to my main character!
Pity you can't trade preorder items. *sighs*
Peace,

yeah, they should really allow you to pick whichever one you want. haha... i guess that wouldn't go over too well with EB games, Best Buy, Comp USA and so on though.

Well, I still don't expect any of the preorder items to be any good - that's just a huge imbalance and regional bias waiting to happen, especially considering how the items cannot be traded.
I'd expect it to be something with a nice graphic that'll help out in the lowbie areas, an advertisement for the presale stores but not a whole lot more. But we'll see. I'd like to be able to trade my preorder item for something useful to my characters, but we'll see what they decide to do.
Peace,
-CxE

I'm guessing my Ithas Bow will be useful up until I reach seared ascalon or a tiny bit past. But a good start never hurts.

I'm with Weezer on this one, the Bow that you receive when you pre-order from EB games will be a big help early going, and I believe the other items will be good to have also. I am also glad that they're giving us things to start with that will help early on.
Peace.

Oh! I want my money back then! Really... why not allow you to sell them? They should just add customization to foci

Well that kinda sux for us then huh? I sure hope they change our special items, or at least take any requirements off of them. Euros can basically get 4 different special items if they have 4 characters.

assuming that each character gets one (by the way, how exactly will these work?)
anyway, I don't think we should mind giving a little extra to the europeans because they had to wait longer for their chance to preorder and had to scrounge around for keys for the past months. they deserve a versatile start for their persistance.

I agree that the European special item also sounds very nice. We're so happy to have this news for the many thousands of people awaiting the opportunity to preorder in Europe, and I am personally delighted with the notion of having an even greater change of forming a team made up of people from all over the world.

I have to second Wheezer here... it would be nice to see the special items all be as "useable" as the euro one. I just picked up 3 pre-orders from BestBuy for some guildmates, and would take em back if I could after seeing the BB reward (don't wanna be a warrior). Already opened em with my greedy little fingers before checking the community out, so guess I'll just deal. Nice community btw, hope all those people on the forums at WoW stay there...
Anyway, please adjust the items so you don't have to check the gw website before deciding whom to preorder from...

Actually, the Best Buy shield is linked to Tactics, so it isn't even a Warrior item - it's a secondary Warrior item. Real Warriors use Strength shields.
Peace,
